It takes a village they say. Here at GCPL we are proud of our team. They contribute in various roles to keep library operations smoothly rolling along. They are valued members of the community. The #MeetGCPL blog highlights a library team member and lets you get to know them a little bit more, so when you see them at your local Branch you can connect further.

For this #MeetGCPL we would like to introduce you to Judy. Judy is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and currently works at our Geauga West Branch as a Circulation Clerk.

Favorite Place to vacation:
Niagara Falls, Canada, I’ve enjoyed going there my whole life. Besides the beautiful falls, I love fun touristy stuff like wax museums.

How she spends free time:
Watching old movies, cooking, arts and crafts, and reading.

Favorite books:
I like Gooseberry Patch cookbooks because they’re so practical, have sweet stories, and simple recipes.

Something she would like to learn how to do:
I would like to learn to bake hearty breads. Bread is delicious.

Something she believes everyone should do once in their life:
Make some art because everyone’s creativity and self-expression is worthwhile.

Her library story:
As a teenager I liked borrowing record albums from my local library. I was amazed they had more than just books.

Favorite quote:
“You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.” – Nightbirde (Jane Marczewski)
