It takes a village they say. Here at GCPL we are proud of our team. They contribute in various roles to keep library operations smoothly rolling along. They are valued members of the community. The #MeetGCPL blog highlights a library team member and lets you get to know them a little bit more, so when you see them at your local Branch you can connect further.

For this #MeetGCPL we would like to introduce you to Sandra. Sandra is from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, the of home Football Hall of Famers Mike Ditka, Tony Dorsett, Darelle Revis, Sean Gilbert, composer, Henry Mancini and other sports figures outlined in the nonfiction book: Playing through the whistle: steel football and an American town by S. L. Price. She currently works at our Geauga West Branch as an Adult Services Assistant.

Her favorite place to vacation:
 Anywhere the cruise ship goes. 

How she likes to spend her free time:
Looking for dead people—genealogy. 

Favorite book or series:
 Nonfiction by Malcolm Gladwell or any fiction set in the South, especially North Carolina. Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.

Something she would love to learn how to do:
Drive an 18 wheeler because I love power machines. 

Something she believes everyone should learn how to do at least once:
Buy something totally extravagant because you deserve it!
 

Her library story:
Meeting the greeter at the B. F. Jones Public Library in Aliquippa.  He was my childhood introduction.
