AlexBevan2017This Libraries Rock! version of “What the library means to me” comes from Alex

Bevan, that “skinny little boy from Cleveland, Ohio.”

I grew up in East Cleveland in a time when to find a book you had to go into a card catalog.

The librarians were the keepers of these magic keys and taught me how to navigate the deep waters of non-fiction and fiction.
It was science fiction and fantasy that led me to poetry… and poetry that led me to music….
And it all started at our little library where Dr. Seuss lived next to The Little Prince.
Alex just finished reading The Perfectionists by Simon Winchester, has just started Bridges Across Every Divide by Phillip DeVol and Eugene Krebs, and is in the middle of reading Z by Adrian Zonneviille.
Check out some of Alex’s music here. And catch him at a show this summer! Check the dates here.
