From John: Lilies of the Field – Starring Sidney Poitier
This is an old black and white movie which features a handyman meeting some nuns trying to build a Chapel. This made me think of the Fun Bus stops at Notre Dame. A fun, uplifting movie.
From Wyatt: Wayne’s World
I recommend American cinema’s pinnacle achievement, Wayne’s World. Unparalleled, unsurpassed, excellent. Featuring an outstanding cast led by SNL greats Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey, Wayne’s World is a funny, creative and sometimes unexpected take on the old-as-time tale of love, strife, victory and heavy metal. I would highly recommend it to fans of having a good time.

From Julie: The Zookeeper’s Wife (Film based on the book)
- This movie takes place in 1939 in Poland as the Nazi Army is invading the country. Dr. Jan Zabinski and his wife Antonina run the Warsaw Zoo and they dedicate themselves to hiding Jews and smuggling them out of the country. I liked this movie because it is about true events and an important time in history which should never be forgotten.

From Katy: Farmer Joe and the Music Show by Tony Mitton
An engaging and well-illustrated story book, young children will love the adorable Farmer Joe as he puts on a rootin’ tootin’ show to lift the spirits of his down-in-the-dumps farm animals. I always keep a copy in my story-time collection!
From Sheila: Bad Things Happen by Harry Dolan
Written in 2009 it was his first novel and recommended by Karin Slaughter, one of my favorite authors. Lots of plot twists and the reader is never sure if the protagonist is a good guy or not.
