As the temperature begins to warm, and the days grow longer we all look forward to a little get-a-way from our regular routine. While most of us don’t have the cash or time to jettison off to faraway exotic lands we can rest assured there’s plenty to do right in our very own backyard. The key is to be in the know. As northeast Ohioans, we know we have a limited number of perfect weather days, so we need to take advantage of each one.

Whether your idea of outdoor fun is a walk along the treetop canopy, camping out in a fully furnished teepee, or even just enjoying a beautiful setting and a great glass of wine, you can do that without ever leaving the county. If your ideal weekend is to visit unique shops with one-of-a-kind items, Geauga County offers an abundance. Special events, fairs and festivals… from Apple Butter to Zucchini we’ve got you covered! You can visit world-class museums, from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and Great Lakes Science Center; to the Accordion Hall of Fame and the Money Museum. History is rich here! Did you know the largest theater district outside of New York City is located in Cleveland? It’s also easy to find, just look for the world’s largest outdoor crystal chandelier! If you still feel you’d rather have that ‘Tuscan Villa’ or trip down the streets of New York City… well add 15 minutes to your drive and you can have that too! Curious?
